notmuch-vim software package provides thread-based email index, search and tagging (vim interface), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install notmuch-vim
notmuch-vim is installed in your system.
Make ensure the notmuch-vim package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep notmuch-vim *
You will get with notmuch-vim package name, version, architecture and description in a table
